Replace your incandescent bulbs with full spectrum light.
These extremely energy efficient bulbs screw into any
standard socket. You will be delighted with the healthful changes to the lighting in your home, workspace and office. Light
Energy's full spectrum bulbs use only a fraction of the electricity required to power regular light bulbs. They produce a bright
non-glare white-hued light with a choice of four intensities ranging from 60 to 120 equivalent watts. Each bulb will save nearly
triple its cost in electricity savings over its lifetime of light usage.
- Produces almost no heat and consumes very little power. They can be used in any fixture which restricts the use of
normal higher wattage bulbs due to heat concerns.
- Lasts ten times longer (10,000 hours) than ordinary incandescent bulbs (5-7 years with normal use). They produce full spectrum light
at 5,000 degrees Kelvin and a CRI of 90 (84 with 17-watt bulb).
- Has built-in electronic ballast which eliminates flicker and electro-magnetic field radiation (ELF and EMF).
When you block the light emanating from these bulbs with a heavy lampshade or glass fixture, you reduce the brightness.
Therefore, it is better to use the higher wattage bulb with lampshades. These lights are not normally used in recessed fixtures as
they are not flood lights. In tight fixtures you can purchase a "socket extender" from your local hardware store allowing more
clearance for the bulb. All of these full spectrum bulbs can be used with a 3-way lamp fixture but never with a dimmer switch.
17-Watt Bulb – (left picture) - This bulb is used where lower intensity is desired. The decorative plastic covering with slits
makes it highly suitable where exposed rather than covered lighting is used. Great for bathroom and kitchen fixtures that require
multiple bulbs.
- 17 watt model: 60 to 70 watts equivalent light, 6.0 in. length, 2.5 in. wide (Part Number B17)
15, 20, and 26-Watt Bulbs – (right picture) - These bulbs provide very bright light. They are excellent where low heat is a factor.
Ideal for artists, draftspersons, reading, artwork, and with lamp shades.
- 15 watt model: 55 to 65 watts equivalent light, 4.5 in. length, 2.0 in. wide (Part Number B20)
- 20 watt model: 75 to 85 watts equivalent light, 5.5 in. length, 2.0 in. wide (Part Number B20)
- 26 watt model: 110 to 120 watts equivalent light, 6.0 in. length, 2.0 in. wide (Part Number B26)
